Top 10 MCU Movies

Hello Filmsters!

Here is my list of the top 10 Marvel cinematic universe movies. These films here represent the MCU at its best. Without further ado, here is my list. I hope you enjoy!

10. Iron Man(2008)

This is the film that kicked off the Marvel cinematic universe. Even though it was released 11 years ago, it still holds up in terms of action and special effects. Not to mention that Robert Downey Jr. gives a great performance as Tony Stark.

9. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

This movie was the second reboot of the Spider-Man character and the third live-action Spider-Man put to screen. What the film does right is it delivers a sense of youthful fun to the character that we have not seen before. It also has a great directing style courtesy of Jon Watts.

8.  Thor: Ragnarok (2017)

After the second Thor movie, it was clear the character needed a change. Enter director Taika Waititi who injected a new style of humor into the character. Also, the action set pieces are up there with the best. Add some great music, and you’ve got one memorable film.

7. Captain America: Civil War (2016)

This was a game-changing movie for the MCU. Co-directors Joe and Anthony Russo are back for their second film that has some incredible action set pieces including the ‘airport battle’ which was one of the best action set pieces for the time. It also has some of the best performances from the Marvel cast.

6. The Avengers (2012)

This movie was the first time that audiences saw the Avengers together on screen. This seemed like an unbelievable feat at the time. Joss Whedon brought a film that has humor, heart, and action all rolled into one great movie. This film is one that can still be enjoyed even 7 years after its release.

5.   Black Panther (2018)

This film became a worldwide phenomenon and its not hard to see why. The movie is filled with great music, incredible performances, and some of the best costume designs in any Marvel movie. The filmmakers went out of their way to make Wakanda seem like a real place. It’s safe to say this film will go down in movie history.

4. Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)

This is the MCU’s most recent film. It was also the final film in phase 3 of the Marvel cinematic universe. Due to this, the movie had a difficult task of succeeding “Avengers: Endgame” and wrapping up this phase of the Marvel universe. Needless to say, the film delivers. This movie is full of action, comedy, and heart. Also, Jake Gyllenhaal gives an amazing performance as the villain Mysterio.

3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)

“Captain America: The First Avenger” was the film that introduced the character to the MCU. Directors, the Russo brothers had a challenging task to bring the character into the modern world without changing his values. They did just that in this film. The movie is filled with heart-racing action scenes such as the elevator fight and the highway fight scene. Not to mention the fantastic character development for all of the cast. For their directorial debut in the MCU, the Russo brothers did a fantastic job with this movie.

2. Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

The movie was the biggest event of the year. It was also the debut of the best villain in the Marvel cinematic universe, Thanos. It managed to successfully bring together all of the franchises in the universe without feeling crowded. Each character had a moment or moments to shine. This movie altered the rhythm of the MCU and delivered one of the most shocking endings ever.

1.  Avengers: Endgame (2019)

This movie is the concluding film of the MCU’s “Infinity Saga.” The film is loaded with callbacks and references to past MCU films. This movie also gave us some of the most radical character arcs ever in the MCU such as “professor Hulk” and “fat Thor.” At the end of the day, this movie gave us a satisfying ending to a 10-year saga while also being an entertaining film in its own right. Not to mention it gave fans one of the most memorable lines in MCU history.
